The most central of Artesia Parks, Central Park, received a refresh last month. This refresh included new wood chips, slick new orange and black paint, and the removal of heaved mats located near the play structure.

The new paint reflects the spirit of the City of Champions by matching the Artesia Bulldog school colors. No longer does the play structure blend into the dark green of the shade trees which forms an inviting canopy over the majority of the park, instead the new paint color makes the equipment and structures pop against the green grass and trees. The pop of orange and black is inviting to those walking or driving past the park’s location.

If you find yourself in need of a spot to picnic, consider Central Park as a go-to location. The park offers numerous picnic benches all of which are in the shade of Cottonwood trees. The gazebo located in the middle is another great spot to spread a blanket and enjoy a meal together.
