Our editorial directors Jessica Addington and Michele Robertson visited with Johnny Chandler, owner of KCCC radio, 930 am talking about our community magazines. Chandler purchased the radio station in May of 2021, continuing the station’s legacy. Current format for the AM radio station is classic country, paying homage to when the station first went on air. 

The Community Forum is a program that has long been a staple on Carlsbad air waves, and you can tune in every Tuesday and Thursday at noon to learn more about what’s happening in our community. Non-profits, civic groups, politicians, as well as city and county representatives all take time out of their schedules to join Chandler at his studio to share upcoming events and news that matters with listeners. 

We took the time to talk about each magazine and how important it is to our communities that we have a platform like the Focus to share the stories that make a difference in our lives. We also highlighted the addition of Robertson to the team for the Focus on Carlsbad publication. Having dedicated staff representing each of our communities and sharing positive and encouraging news is important to our publication.
