Last Friday, Carlsbad’s boys and girls had an incredible basketball night. The boys beat Hobbs on the road, 58-29. Carlsbad’s boys now have a 15-7 record going into a district home game against Clovis on Tuesday night. The boys are also looking for their third district win. They’ll also play at Roswell on Friday. 

The Carlsbad Cavegirls picked up an incredible 42-36 win over Hobbs on Friday. Going into the game, Hobbs was the #1 ranked team in the state, while the Cavegirls, who only have two losses, were ranked fourth. The Cavegirls took a strong early lead, but Hobbs battled back and forced the game into overtime, where Carlsbad again pulled ahead. The game included multiple successful buzzer shots and an incredible defensive effort on Carlsbad’s effort. The Cavegirls will play Clovis on Tuesday night and then host Roswell on Friday.
