Artesia, that remarkable little city tucked between Roswell and Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The city where you immediately receive a generous welcome from the residents and businesses as you arrive. Artesia has been blessed with strong community bonds between its citizens as well as the unique relationships found between public and private industry leaders.

The joint efforts of private and public partnerships have resulted in the Artesia Aquatic Center. This Bulldog-shaped outdoor recreation pool includes three water slides with an additional indoor competition pool and another indoor pool for recreational activities.

These joint partnerships have also allowed our community to construct the Artesia Public Library, a 26,000 square foot modern environment promoting learning.

Combining the efforts of local governments, the Public Safety Complex was built in Artesia housing numerous public safety organizations in the effort of promoting effective communication between agencies.

We are honored to be community partners with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Artesia campus.

For a community of our size, Artesia is blessed to have such vibrant activity as well as beauty in the downtown area. Artesia is fortunate to have such cultural attractions including the bronze sculptures throughout the city, the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center, and the Estelle Yates Auditorium.

This year, the local refinery — Navajo has undertaken a 350-million-dollar capital investment to process vegetable oil into bio-diesel. This investment will add jobs to our community as well as extend the life of the plant. We commend their commitment to our community.

The focus on Faith, Family and Fellowship by the citizens of Artesia has and will continue to be the pride of our city. Come visit Artesia. Let us welcome you to the City of Champions.
