Haven of Hope Open House in Artesia

A665A78C-A3A1-42FB-A375-BE4BB9F42C27
The generous and creative energies of EOG Resources employees decked the halls this holiday season at Haven of Hope, Artesia’s newest 501(c)3 nonprofit. The employees coordinated the delivery and placement of a 14 foot Christmas tree into the shared living space of the cottage for the new residents of the organization. Red and white knitted stockings grace the walls of the living space as well, each carefully hung by the volunteers.

The work of Haven of Hope centers upon helping, “single mothers and their children by providing structured home-like environments, counseling, and financial management that help build up the family and help them to lead happy, healthy, and independent lives.” The cottage can house up to 6 mother-child family units.

The elegant blue and white tree sets the festive atmosphere of the holiday and for the upcoming Haven of Hope Open House. The open house will be December 16th and a come and go event from 3-7 pm at the Haven of Hope location: 2100 West Richey Avenue in Artesia. Refreshments will be served. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 pm. The Executive Director, Anita Braun, Family Life Coordinator, Rebecca Williams, and the Haven of Hope Board of Directors will be on hand to give tours of the cottage and offices and to answer questions about their programs.
