Calling all artists! The Artesia Arts Council never slows down on producing and displaying art for our community to enjoy. See below for all the details of the upcoming Oilfield Centennial Juried Art Show!

1. This show will be on display June 4-August 30, 2024 in the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center lobby during regular business hours. The theme of the show is Oil & Gas Industry. All submitted works should reflect this theme and be original works of art by the entrant.

2. This is a juried show, which means that if too many entries are received for the gallery space, an art jury will determine which works will be included in the show. All fees will be refunded for pieces not included in the final show.

3. All media will be accepted. All 2-dimensional pieces must be ready to hang with hanging wire. No exceptions.

4. Open to all ages. One entry fee of $25 allows each artist to enter up to 5 artworks. All entries must have a completed entry form and each entry piece must be labeled with artist’s name, title of piece, price if offered for sale, and contact information.

5. First, Second, and Third Place winners will be chosen by a judging committee. In addition, a People’s Choice award will be announced after the close of the show. Prizes will be awarded!

6. Entries may be offered for sale. All pieces sold during the show are to remain in the show until after it closes (or by special arrangement). The Artesia Arts Council retains a 20% commission on sales.

7. Entries can be dropped off during regular business hours May 28-31, 2024 during regular business hours (or by arrangement).

8. Every care will be taken to secure the safety of all art, but the Artesia Arts Council will not be responsible for any loss or damages, including that caused by faulty hanging wires.

9. Art may be picked up after August 30, 2024. Art not picked up after October 1, 2024 becomes the property of the Artesia Arts Council.
