Devon Energy recently donated to 12 fire departments in Eddy County.
The contributions are part of the company’s commitment to supporting emergency responders in its operating areas.
“Emergency responders selflessly serve others. Devon is proud to play a role in making sure they have everything ready when the need arises,” said Devon senior community relations Shannon Johnson.
Recipients include:
- Artesia Fire Department/City of Artesia
- Atoka Volunteer Fire Department
- Carlsbad Fire Department
- Cottonwood Volunteer Fire Department
- Happy Valley Volunteer Fire Department
- Joel Firefighters Auxiliary
- La Huerta Volunteer Fire Department
- Loco Hills Firefighters Association
- Lovington Fire Department/Eddy Co. Fire District
- Malaga Fire Department/Eddy Co. Fire District
- Otis Volunteer Fire Department
- Riverside Volunteer Fire Department
The donations will help the organizations purchase equipment and better serve their local communities. Municipal departments may use the funds for training, equipment and supplies.
Devon is also awarding donations to 6 fire departments in Lea County.
