Eddy County remained a solid Turquoise when the state’s gating criteria was updated on Wednesday. According to the New Mexico Department of Health, Eddy County had a cases per 100,000 rate of 4 and a positivity rate of 1.60%, which means we continued to meet both gating criteria. We had a fully vaccinated rate of 31.10%, but we have also been informed that some corrections are being made which will increase that percentage. All counties in the state, with the exception of Chaves, are currently Turquoise. There were 3 COVID-19 cases reported for Eddy County on Wednesday. Carlsbad Medical Center reported zero new positives on Wednesday. We strongly believe Eddy County will remain Turquoise until state restrictions are fully lifted in a few weeks.
