If you are dreaming of an outdoor adventure, grab your shoes, and hop in the car. New Mexico is home to gorgeous, stunning waterfalls and you don’t have to hike miles to bask in their beauty. In fact, here are six of New Mexico’s easy-access waterfalls that you’ll definitely want to explore right now:

If you are looking for a quick stop with some incredible scenery, Soda Dam is well worth your time. To access this gorgeous waterfall, you must walk on a 0.1-mile loop trail. Make sure you pay attention to the neat geological formations as you explore this gorgeous area.

You only have to hike 0.25-miles to reach the breathtaking Nambe Falls. Located in the Nambe Pueblo area, you can step right next to this gorgeous double waterfall. Two trails, both 0.25-miles each, will take you to the waterfall. The first trail will give you spectacular views from above the waterfalls, while the second trail will take you to a fun beach at the lowest pool. If you choose the lower trail, make sure to bring water shoes, as you might get wet on your hike.

If you want to capture a view of a gorgeous waterfall, Sitting Bull Falls is the destination you desire. To view this stunning waterfall, you only have a short 0.7-mile hike near Carlsbad, in the Lincoln National Forest. This is a terrific trail for individuals of all ages.

Jemez Falls is one of the more popular waterfalls in the Land of Enchantment. The falls are located in the Santa Fe National Forest and to spend a little time around the falls, you only need to walk 0.7-mile. Plan to spend some time near the end of the trail at the scenic overlook. If you want to get in your steps, you can continue hiking to the top of the falls and enjoy a picnic or some time in the water.

The Tunnel Vista Trail is perfect if you are looking for a little peace and quiet with a gorgeous waterfall. This out-and-back trail is only 0.5-miles and typically isn’t very busy. This waterfall is located in the Lincoln National Forest and is near High Rolls Mountain Park. It’s a fun trail to explore if you desire an afternoon outdoors.

If you simply aren’t in the mood to hike, White Rock Overlook Park will give you stunning views of the Canada Del Buey Falls. You can stand at the overlook and receive not only beautiful views of the falls, but also White Rock Canyon. Make sure to bring your camera as this is a view you will not want to forget.
