On Wednesday, our community’s National Public Lands Day celebration will kickoff with an 8 a.m. ceremony at the Sunset Reef Campground. The Bureau of Land Management has organized public lands projects all week, including tree planting at Six Mile Dam and trail brushing at the La Cueva Recreational Area. Many energy industry companies are also helping with projects around the area. Tracy Hughes is coordinating the list of activities around Eddy County.
