Key Community Events This Week

June 13: Carlsbad Municipal Schools School Safety Meeting, 7-8 p.m. at PR Leyva Auditorium. Online at: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84073091525

June 14: Puppet Show 10 a.m. at the Walter Gerrells Performing Arts and Exhibition Center. City transit will provide 9:30 a.m. rides from the Carlsbad Public Library to the civic center. No admission charge. No registration required.

June 15: 4-6 p.m. Pool Tournament at the Riverwalk Recreation Center.

June 16: Third Thursday summer celebration to kick off the Farmer’s Market. Event is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Eddy County Courthouse Lawn.  This week will feature the Runyan Ranch Petting Zoo, food trucks, bounce houses and a plaque dedication ceremony.

June 18: 11 a.m. Juneteenth: Documentary and Celebration @ the Carlsbad Museum

June 18: Green Chili Cheeseburger Cook Off.  Location is the Beach Area Water Park Gazebo from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.  Judging by the Eddy County Sheriff’s Department.  This is conjunction with the City’s Summer Concert Series – Charlie Ingraham is the scheduled performer.   Free water park admission.

 All Week: Summer lunches and basketball camp at the Riverwalk Recreation Center. Please check with the Riverwalk Recreation Center for a full list of summer activities.
