My name is Jonni Valdez Silva, and I am honored to serve as the Executive Director of Carlsbad MainStreet. In my first few months on the job, I have truly enjoyed connecting with Carlsbad’s leadership and building relationships with our downtown merchants. Each conversation has deepened my appreciation for the passion, dedication, and vision that make our community so special.
Our mission as Carlsbad MainStreet is to revitalize and promote downtown Carlsbad by preserving its unique charm, supporting local businesses, and creating vibrant community spaces. We follow the New Mexico MainStreet Four-Point Approach—Design, Promotion, Organization, and Economic Vitality—to ensure our work makes a lasting impact.
We have an exciting calendar of events designed to bring our community together and showcase the very heart of Carlsbad. This fall, join us for the Farmers & Makers Market, Fall Festival, and Electric Light Parade.
We are also thrilled to expand our partnership with the Cavern Theatre, elevating our events to new levels of entertainment. This collaboration will feature live performances, special screenings, and unique community experiences that not only entertain but also strengthen our local culture and support Carlsbad’s continued growth and prosperity.
