A delicious combination of hearty and wholesome, this bread has become a family favorite!

Made with simple, nutritious ingredients, it is a great alternative to processed bread and a wonderful addition to any meal. Serve warm right from the oven or let it cool overnight. Top with butter and cinnamon sugar, honey, or jelly to add a touch of sweetness!

Ingredients
  • 2 ¾ cups Oat flour
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 3 Eggs
  • ½ tsp Sea salt
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Measure 3 cups of rolled oats and add to a blender or food processor. Blend on low and increase speed to high. Oats should be fine like powder. This will measure about 2 ¾ cups of oat flour.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and honey.
  4. Add the oat flour to the mixing bowl. Whisk together.
  5. Add salt and baking powder.
    Whisk again.
  6. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Pour in the batter.
  7. Bake 30–45 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. For best consistency, cool completely before slicing.
Notes
  1. The mixed ingredients will be more like batter and less like dough.
  2. Oats are naturally gluten-free, but cross-contamination can occur during processing. For those who require gluten-free foods, use certified gluten-free rolled oats.
  3. This bread is delicious when served hot, but due to the lack of gluten, the bread does not hold together well when warm. Allow the bread to cool completely if you prefer firmer slices.
  4. We usually enjoy this bread with a meal. We have also topped it with baked apples and whipped cream for a healthy dessert!
