Shenanigans Event Planning began as a group of friends who enjoyed each other’s company and liked to celebrate together.
Four ladies, each with unique talents, brainstormed about a before prom dinner for one of their kids. Their friendship was the perfect combination of flair, fun, and details—the exact ingredients needed for a successful event.
These four ladies made up the original group. Sara owned a beautiful home and enjoyed creating the perfect menu. Missy, the eternal perfectionist, wanted the details to be just right. Kristi excelled at keeping the team on track and organized with due dates and paperwork, and Anna added the creative flair. The icing on the cake was the fellowship they enjoyed. After every planning session, they realized how much they enjoyed each other’s company and friendship. They found themselves looking for more events to plan so that they could just be together. Next, folks who attended their events started asking if the group might assist in their get-togethers. Shenanigans originally volunteered their services for a few events. As more requests for help with additional events rolled in, they agreed that they should begin charging for their time and talents. Later, Austyn and Abbie joined the group and rounded out the business with their design talents and organizational skills respectively.
The gals of Shenanigans all agree that planning a get-together, whether small or large, can cause a myriad of emotions for the host. Planning always begins with excitement. When something special is happening in their life, they want to share it with their loved ones. However, it is very easy to get carried away and go overboard in this phase of planning an event. Then the host starts thinking about all that is required to carry out their desire, and they slide right into stress and uncertainty. Cue: Shenanigans!
Partnering with Shenanigans eliminates the stress of a significant celebration or event. Most often their services are used for the day of execution. People want to be a part of the events they are hosting, not work at them. Shenanigans finds enjoyment in being together and working to execute the perfect party. They enjoy being a part of the special moments in the host’s life and the appreciation they receive for allowing the host to enjoy their celebration.
Shenanigans Event Planning says the following items are important to consider during the brainstorming phase: location or venue, theme, guest list, food and beverage, decorations, entertainment, and unfortunately, budget. However, the one factor that gets most overlooked is the time needed to set up and tear down. Because the ladies of Shenanigans enjoy each other’s friendship, this phase is usually where they excel. They enjoy working alongside one another, and the satisfaction they feel when the event is complete is very rewarding. Shenanigans—they bring the party!
