Artesia is fortunate to have healthy and diverse industries that all contribute to the greater good of our area.
Collectively, these industries assist in many facets of community needs but none more so than oil and gas.
In the last 100+ years, Artesia, New Mexico has established itself as a powerhouse in the oilfield industry. Our small community produced legends and giants with last names like Chase, Yates, and Gray, just to name a few. Their legacies were forged with grit and determination, and because of this, our town was forever changed. This venture is what has helped pave the way for the city we now know and call home.
Between philanthropic initiatives and supporting so many local causes and nonprofits, we see great benefits through not only monetary donations and support, but time and efforts of oil and gas employees as they pour themselves into our community. From educational scholarships and healthcare initiatives, all the way to environmental conservation projects, we have much for which to be thankful in regards to the efforts of so many in the oil and gas industry! The many companies that are housed in Artesia contribute greatly in addressing community needs and fostering community.
Despite the one-sided vocal argument of all or nothing from those with a political agenda, oil and gas work diligently to pave the way for a more sustainable and prosperous future. For this, we should all be grateful.
