Established in 2019, we are celebrating our 5th year in business!
Angee’s Flowers is a full-service boutique florist specializing in fresh-cut flowers, plants, and custom permanent botanicals.
In 2018, my fiancé (now husband), David Gonzales, and I remodeled the building at 604 N. Canal, the future home of Angee’s Flowers. It was previously Betty Dale’s Flowers in 1968, Pat Neeley Flowers in the 1970’s, and The Flower Patch from 1980 to the 90’s. My first job was in 1984 at The Flower Patch working for my aunt. I was 14 and had no driver’s license, so I learned flower design. I have worked in 10 different shops in New Mexico and Texas over the years. After returning to Carlsbad, it was nice to reconnect with old friends and acquaintances as well as give tours of the “old Flower Patch.”
My journey over the last 5 years at Angee’s Flowers has truly been a gift, and I have been blessed by the support of the Carlsbad community. My favorite designs are for sympathy and funerals. I take the opportunity to meditate and pray for the family as I work, giving them the best for their last memory.
