Dear Artesia Community:
Artesia MainStreet wishes you well in the new year. May it be a canvas of opportunities, painted with moments of joy and success. In the spirit of “Growing Good,” we would like to reflect on the significance of creating space for the good in our lives.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, we can easily overlook the small, yet significant, moments that bring joy and goodness. The goal of this organization is to facilitate an environment that fosters these moments — whether it is a friendly smile, a helping hand, or a shared celebration. Our community’s exceptional downtown reflects the spirit of the people. We value hard work, relationships, and hometown principles.
By creating space for the good in our lives, we contribute to a collective sense of well-being. It could be as simple as supporting local initiatives, participating in community events, or volunteering with a local non-profit organization. Each act, no matter how small, has the potential to ripple through the community, fostering a culture of kindness and positivity.
Growing the good might look like picking up a few pieces of windblown trash on Main Street or leaving some books in the Little Library in Heritage Walkway. We know by the giant smiles on the kids’ faces that events like the Electric Light Parade and Trick or Treat MainStreet foster joy and core memories for our community.
Please consider joining us for this year’s lineup of downtown community events:
- 25th Annual Car Show & Cruise
April 5th & 6th - Centennial Celebration
June 14th & 15th - Red Dirt Black Gold
September 28th - Trick or Treat MainStreet
October 26th - Light Up Artesia
December 5th
Often, we feel that our actions must be big and loud to make an impact, but the little things each day add up. Artesia MainStreet is home to over twenty more-than-life-size pieces of public art. Making room for good could be a downtown stroll, where you take the time to learn about Artesia’s story through art.
As we continue to grow as individuals and as a community, let’s be mindful of the good that surrounds us and take intentional steps to nurture it. Together, we can continue to make Artesia a place where positivity thrives and the spirit of goodwill becomes an integral part of our shared experience.
Here’s to cultivating goodness and creating space for good in our beautiful town.
Best Regards,

I wear many hats: wife, mom, entrepreneur, travel enthusiast, interior designer wannabe, writer, enneagram type 7, margarita connoisseur. The list goes on because, heck, I'm a Gemini too and if you've met any of those, you know what I'm talking about. I have a spirit for adventure and hometown pride. I love a good road trip and finding new places to explore.
