Balloons & Tunes has been a fall staple in Artesia, New Mexico for 40 years. Locals and nearby residents have flocked to this annual event in the crisp early mornings of November for their chance to get up close and personal with a hot air balloon.

Saturday and Sunday balloon launches happen at Eagle Draw between 7th and 13th streets.

Friday events:

7:30 am – Friday Fun Flights – Weather Permitting, hot air balloons will lift from each of the elementary schools’ playgrounds, Grand Heights Kindergarten and Zia Intermediate School.

Paper Takes Flight (5th grade elementary students during school hours)
