CARC, INC. is celebrating its 50 th anniversary of providing services for individuals with
developmental disabilities by hosting a semi-formal gala this Thursday in Carlsbad, N.M.
CARC, INC. advocate and former New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez will be the keynote
speaker at the gala at the Walter Gerrells Performing Arts and Exhibition Center in Carlsbad.
Proceeds from the gala will support CARC, INC.’s Gary Don Forrest Endowment.
Tickets for the gala start at $50 and include dinner and live entertainment from the Carlsbad
Wind Symphony. Tables can be reserved for $500, and there are multiple sponsorship levels
available between $1,000 and $15,000 that provide access to a VIP experience, including a
reception with an exclusive opportunity to mingle with former Governor Martinez. Tickets,

CARC, INC.’s mission is to provide support services for people with special needs that enable
them to be active citizens, feel accepted and find meaning in life. Since opening, CARC, INC. has
supported and served more than 3,000 children, 500 adults and their families.
In addition to its 12 residential group homes, adult support services and early intervention
services, CARC, INC. operates a child daycare facility on its Carlsbad campus. CARC, INC. also
provides job opportunities for its clients through its retail and commercial services such as a
Bargain Store, a Country Store & Greenhouse, Pecos Valley Pecans processing, a plant barrel
rental service and document-shredding services.
