If you’re looking for something different for lunch or dinner, Aquino’s has you covered. Located at 108 South Canal in the Carlsbad MainStreet District, Aquino’s is offering a fresh take on deli style foods. Owners Aimee Aquino and Tristan Cheek opened for business mid-July, bringing to Carlsbad an Italian style deli.
“The community has been showing a lot of love,” Cheek commented about their first couple of weeks open. They had one day in their first week open where they had to close, as they sold out of several food items and had to wait for delivery of more.
Menu options include Panini’s, Hero’s, Focaccia, pizzas, and Burrata Bombs. What makes these sandwich options different from other sandwiches you’ll find, is the use of specialty meats like Mortadella, Prosciutto, and Calabrese, to name a few. Using fresh ingredients, and slicing meats daily, Aquino’s offers a variety of meals for meat lovers and vegetarians.
Aquino shared that she wanted to open her own deli because she could never find the ingredients she likes to use (like Mortadella and Burrata) at the grocery stores in town. At the moment, you can call in (575.885.6657) or order in person for one of these delightful treats.
Coming soon will be grab and go lunch items, and the option to purchase meats and cheeses by the pound. If you enjoy the art of charcuterie, this is going to be your go to place for a wider variety of meats to use on your boards.
“I’d like to encourage people to come in and experience something new,” Aquino shared. With a chill vibe and inviting atmosphere, Aquino’s is here to serve the community. They’ve got dine in, carry out, patio seating, and catering options to go along with their unique menu. This little deli has big plans, connect with them on social media to follow their journey, Aquino’s LLC.
