Carlsbad was one of several stops for KOB 4’s retired weatherman Steve Stucker on his Thank You Tour. Tuesday May 16th he stopped in at the Carlsbad Miniature Golf course, and Wednesday morning he was broadcasting live from The Trinity Hotel.
Area residents were able to meet Stucker, take photos with him, and share stories. During the broadcast at The Trinity 5:00-8:00 am, all proceeds from sales at the restaurant went towards Stucker’s charity Beds4Kidz. Residents brought in bedding and cash donations to help with the project. Stucker shared that by next month, the charity will have given beds to 17,000 children in need, some of whom have never had a bed of their own.
Beds4Kids is part of the non-profit organization UpB4theSon that is led by Stucker and run by an all volunteer board and staff, with a couple of part time workers to assist. To learn more about the charity or to donate visit www.beds4kidz.org
