The Heart of Our Community: Carlsbad Mainstreet
Health is Wealth!
A new year is upon us in Downtown Carlsbad and has already proved to hit the ground running! We are working on some exciting plans and projects for the year ahead which we cannot wait to share with the community, but before we do we want to take a moment to talk about a very important topic: health. When approaching a new year and new “season” in life, it is always worthwhile to take a moment to reflect and recuperate. A priority for everyone (especially to those in the non-profit sector) is to take the time for yourself and prioritize all aspects of your health. So often we are on the go, moving at record pace, and putting ourselves and our self-care on the backburner. In our Downtown alone, we have some great options for those looking to take a moment and prioritize their self-care.
Starting with physical health, a good option could be stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new by taking a Pilates class at Skyline Pilates or a Jiu-Jitsu class at Kingdom Jiu Jitsu. Taking care of our bodies is important too so why not schedule a massage with Stephanie at Body Braille or a rejuvenating spa service at Salon NV. As well as body care, we have so many hair and nail care options Downtown including Daniel’s Salon, Salon NV, The Beauty College of Eddy County, Que Suave, Nails by Vero, High Maintenance, Valz Nails, and Meraki Hair Studio. Another exciting health and wellness business joining us Downtown this Spring will be Desert Daze Yoga studio which will be a great addition for all-around wellness.
For more traditional health care options, we have many options Downtown as well. From doctors to optometrists, My Doctor Medical Group, Kymera Independent Physicians, Carlsbad Physical Therapy, Vision Source, and Livingston Hearing Aids all reside in our district. Health can also come in the form of food at one of our local restaurants or a shake from Goal Diggers Nutrition. Why not just take a moment to relax with a glass of local wine served at Trinity or a craft beer brewed at Milton’s Brewing?
However you look at health or choose to approach it, it is always good to remember that it is not always a one-size-fits-all approach. Enriching our minds, bodies, and souls looks different for everyone. We are grateful to have such an abundance of health and wellness services right at our doorstep; we encourage you to try something new when it comes to your health this year and step out of your comfort zone and regular routine. Always remember, your health is your wealth!
