Brought to you by Artesia Car Enthusiasts, Artesia Chamber of Commerce, and Artesia MainStreet, the 24th Annual Main Event Car Show & Cruise kicked off this evening! From oldest to newest, 132 cars were grouped by decade as they moseyed down Main Street. You don’t have to be an expert on cars to appreciate the wide variety of styles, colors, and personalities of each of these machines.

The Car Show portion of this event will be held in Downtown Artesia on Saturday, April 1st from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Record breaking attendance is expected for the event as guests travel from not only across New Mexico but from other states as well. Last year the Car Show welcomed 252 entries, and this year, close to 300 cars are expected.

Clear your calendar for tomorrow, and make plans to join enthusiasts and visitors alike. Bring the whole family, and plan to spend some time admiring the cars, hearing from the owners, and learning a little bit about what draws each enthusiast to their vehicle of choice. Come hungry and choose from many different food trucks. You don’t want to miss it!
