The Lady Dogs were victorious over the Moriarty Pintos 54-50 on Friday, March 3 in the first round of state playoff games.

The Lady Dogs now advance to the New Mexico State Class 4A Quarterfinals and will play the Hope Christian Huskies at 8:00 a.m. MST on Tuesday, March 7.  Hope Christian is 21-7 overall and ranked 4th in the state in class 4A. The Lady Dogs are 19-8 overall and ranked 5th in the state in class 4A. The two teams met at the Hope Christian Basketball Tournament in January which the Huskies won 69-48. The Lady Dogs last state tournament play was in 2017.
