Head to the Bulldog Pit on Friday night February 17 to celebrate BOTH the girls and boys basketball teams clinching the regular season district titles! Both the Artesia girls and boys basketball teams are 5-0 in regular season district play and both are ranked 5th in the state. The regular season district 4A contest will conclude for both teams this Friday, February 17 at home against the Goddard Rockets.

The Lady Dogs beat the Goddard Rockets in the first district game on February 3 with a score of 37-36, followed by a win for the boys team with a score of 44-38. The Lady Dogs have a season record of 16-8 while the boys Bulldog basketball team has a season record of 16-9.

On Friday the Lady Dogs JV game begins at the Bulldog Pit at 4:00 p.m., followed by the varsity Lady Dogs at 5:30 p.m. The boys JV game is at 5:30 p.m. in the red brick gym, followed by the varsity boys game at 7:00 p.m. in the Bulldog Pit. It is basketball homecoming and Pack the Pit night and fans are encouraged to wear white! There will be a hamburger fry at The Pit Friday night and the regular season district award ceremony following the game.
