Update 2-16-23
The City of Carlsbad experienced some wind damage during Tuesday’s windstorm, which is expected to continue, on and off, through Thursday. We had several trees that were damaged or partially knocked down at the beach and sports complex, damage to the dock area, and damage to one traffic signal. There was also a power outage around the airport. The airport reported west to southwest winds sustained at 52 miles per hour gusting up to 78 miles per hour. Xcel Energy has been extremely busy over the past few days, and we appreciate all of their hard work. We are unaware of any injuries at this time caused by the wind.
We have also received calls from people whose rollouts went missing over the past few days. We are working to help you resolve this issue. When possible, please keep the rollout as close to the house as you can when it isn’t being set out for pickup to reduce the chance of it escaping. If you have any issues, please call (575) 885-0042.
