Both the Artesia girls and boys basketball teams are 3-0 in conference play and both are ranked 5th in the state. The district 4A contest continues for both teams this Friday, February 10 at home against the Lovington Wildcats.

The Lady Dogs beat the Lovington Wildcats in the first district playoff game on January 27 with a score of 54-36, followed by a win for the boys team with a score of 51-36.

On Friday the Lady Dogs JV game begins at the Bulldog Pit at 4:00 p.m., followed by the varsity Lady Dogs at 5:30 p.m.  The boys JV game is at 5:30 p.m. in the red brick gym, followed by the varsity boys game at 7:00 p.m. in the Bulldog Pit.
