US HWY 82, between High Rolls and Alamogordo, REMAINS CLOSED today (Monday).
The official detour route is NM Hwy 244 and US Hwy 70.
This route consists of well maintained highways. Potential hazards include unusually busy traffic, tight curves and wildlife (horses, elk, deer, etc).
Plan ahead as this route will add approximately 1.25 hrs to your travel time.
