Everyone has their own plan for taking down their Christmas tree- ranging from Dec. 26 through the end of January. Once you are ready to dispose of your tree, please consider using the City’s Solid Waste Convenience Drop-Off Center at 301 E. Plaza Street. In the winter, the center is open from 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be closed on New Year’s Day.
The station is for residential use only. For more information, please call (575) 885-0042. The City also has an excellent grappler service, allowing you to have your Christmas tree picked up at your front curb. Artesia Clean & Beautiful is providing a Live Christmas tree recycling drop off location at the corner of 5th street & Texas – they will be turned into mulch for you for free. The are offering this service until January 15th.
