Crime Stoppers of Eddy County is requesting your assistance in solving a Criminal Damage to Property over $1,000.00 and a Larceny ($2,500.00 to $5,000.00) that is occurring in Artesia New Mexico.
During the timeframe of December 2021 to August of 2022 the City of Artesia has had approximately fifteen pine trees removed from their planted location on the east side of North First Street in Artesia. Each pine tree is valued at approximately one thousand fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00) for a total of $22,500.00. During this same timeframe the City of Artesia has also had their fences cut at this location and irrigation system tampered with or damaged. The total estimated loss for all damage is approximately $30,000.00 dollars.
The Eddy County Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone with information to please come forward. A reward up to $4,000.00 will be offered for any information that leads to a suspect and or arrest of a suspect. The incident is being investigated by the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office.
