Carlsbad Municipal Schools needs a new school board member. According to a press release, the school district is seeking applicants to fill the unexpired term of District V Board member, Tom Hollis, who has resigned. The term for this position expires on Dec. 31, 2025. This vacancy will be filled by remaining board members at the Jan. 17, 2023, board meeting. 

District V covers the northwest portion of the school district, but please check with the schools if you think you might be interested to make sure your address is in the correct district.  Interested applicants should submit written notices to the Superintendent by Jan. 9. A packet is available upon request at Carlsbad Municipal Schools Central Office. Thank you to former board member Hollis for his support for our youth.
