Fields of Faith, a non-denominational student-lead event, will be happening on Wednesday, October 19 at 6:30 pm at Morris Field in Artesia. The event is an opportunity for students to stand together to share their faith and challenge their peers to read the Bible and follow Jesus Christ. All students grade six through 12 are invited to attend.

 

Worship will be led by a group of students from multiple area churches. The guest speaker will be Pastor Kendall Meek of the First Methodist Church in Lamesa, Texas.

 

Five area churches are hosting the event, including Catalyst Church, First United Methodist Church, Harvest Fellowship, Trinity Temple Assembly of God, and West Main Baptist Church.

 

“This is an opportunity for students in our community to come to a new place to hear the word,” said Richard Slaughter, First United Methodist Church of Artesia Youth Pastor. “The event will encourage and embolden Artesia students to proclaim their faith. We encourage students to invite their peers.”
