Fall!
That fabulous time of the year in Southeast New Mexico when the monsoon rains bring a profusion of green to the red Chihuahuan Desert. Unlike other places around the world, Carlsbad and the surrounding communities turn green in the fall rather than the spring. Before the leaves change color, Carlsbad enjoys a fall renewal, so to speak, and the Focus team is here to explore all of the interesting and unique ways that our community is Going Green during this exciting time. Don’t let the title of this edition limit your idea of what you will find in the following pages: Going Green is much more than a discussion of recycling options in town.
In this edition of Focus on Carlsbad, the team explores the many unique ways we are green and going green this time of the year. We catch up with the Director, Dave Morgan, of the Carlsbad Museum to discuss what fresh pieces will be installed for the new exhibit, review green chile dishes at local restaurants, check out the new cannabis dispensaries cropping up around town, and discuss the marvelous turnout for CavernFest this year. Dive into the exciting and green colored pages of Focus on Carlsbad brought to you by our local advertisers bringing our community closer together. We could not share our stories, recipes, and local know-how without them!
With the smell of green chile roasting in the perfect fall weather, get out and enjoy all of the incredible amenities that Carlsbad has to offer! Start your adventures at our website, Focus NM Daily for a digital copy of this issue and all of our past magazine content. As your local source for all things community news and lifestyle in Southeast New Mexico, our team publishes stories in print and online to celebrate our region.
