Susan “Suzie” Elaine Quezada (Miller)

Suzie, age 32, passed away at her home in Artesia, New Mexico on Thursday, October 6, 2022 after an impressively hard-fought year-and-a-half battle with cancer. Her final days were spent with her family and friends she loved so much.

Suzie’s life may have been cut short, but she touched the hearts of many while she was with us.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Margie and Albert Miller and Leroy and Jeanette Rutledge and her uncles, Joe Miller and Donnie Rutledge.

Suzie is survived by her beloved husband, Loreto Quezada, son, Matthew Quezada, loving father and stepmother, Mikey and Jan Miller, mother, Angela Alvarez, sisters, Marissa Leavitt (Cal), Sheena Smith (Timmy), brother, Chad Miller (Cayla), nephews, Jett and Grayson, nieces, Ashlynn, Kaelynn, Charli and Evie, and countless family and friends.

Suzie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Anyone who knew Suzie cherished her loving spirit. She wore a smile on her face until the very end. More than anything Suzie loved making people laugh especially by playing pranks or scaring them to the point of laughter. She shone the brightest when outdoors. Fishing and playing golf brought her joy and nature gave her a sense of peace. Suzie loved football and faithfully cheered for her Dallas Cowboys. Her adventurous spirit was a beacon that attracted others to her. She was the light in the darkness and the glue that held many together. Her fierce and loving spirit will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.
