As a reminder, there’s a TV series being filmed near Carlsbad, and a few additional extras are still needed for Oct. 15 and 16. Those will be the two biggest filming days for a series about Moses and his family.  For more information, please visit https://www.thepromisedlandseries.tv/extras

That day will also feature photo ops, and a chance to meet the producers of this project. Filming is taking place on public land around Carlsbad, including on the sand dunes east of town, which will be used to represent the desert of Egypt. Organizers are also reportedly still looking for volunteers to assist with security. Several local churches have been assisting with this project. 

We have several other groups also looking at our area for possible movie or television show projects, and we especially appreciate all of Dianne Joop’s hard work with bringing film to Carlsbad. Movie producers especially like the area because of the numerous terrain options in the vicinity.
