Grab your tennis shoes and join in the first annual “Walk for Recovery” this Friday, September 9 at 6 pm at the Carlsbad Beach Bandshell. This “Voices for Recovery” event, organized by Jennifer Hedrick, Eddy County DWI Program Drug Court Coordinator, is a way of showing support and providing resources for those wanting to live in recovery. Numerous agencies (more than 15 support and resource booths) will be present to provide information, resources, and support during the event. There will also be a candlelight vigil for those who have been lost to addiction and recovery. Music will be by Fuzion Nortena.
