A memorial service will be held at a later date for James M. Combs of Artesia, New Mexico.

On August 8, 2022 James Mayfield Combs, beloved father, brother, uncle, son and friend passed away peacefully. He was born to Walter and Frances Combs in Fletcher, NC. He graduated from Artesia High School after which he worked for 31 years for Halliburton. After retiring from Halliburton he continued to share his wealth of knowledge as a consultant at other companies. He was always ready to share his knowledge or lend a helping hand to his friends and family. He was an avid Nascar fan and dreamed of visiting every speedway in the country.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Bobby Combs.

Survivors include a daughter Kimberly Lozano; a son James Michael Combs; brothers Benjamin Combs, Larry Combs, and Gary Combs; grandchildren Alysa, Haley, Hector, Octavian, Cody, Mickala, Nicholas, Tyler, and Isabelle.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
