Services are scheduled for 10 am Friday, August 19, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Angelita Leyba Carrera of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Carrera, 75, died on August 14, 2022 in El Paso, Texas.

Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:00 pm on Thursday at Our Lady of Grace Church.

Angelita was born on August 5, 1947 in Artesia; the daughter of Carlos Leyba Sr. and Paula Jimenez Leyba. She was a longtime resident of Artesia.

She was a housewife and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Victor Leyba Sr., and Carlos Leyba Jr.

Survivors include her husband Alberto Carrera; a son Pedro Alberto Carrera; daughters Maria Guadalupe Boyce and Enrriqueta Carrera; brothers Alfredo Leyba and Sammy Leyba Sr.; grandchildren Erik Boyce, Johnathan Boyce, and Alexis Mercedes Segura; and a great-grandchild Zandaleah Alena Segura Urias.
