Mary M. Campos, 70, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. Mary was born on July 25, 1952, in Carlsbad, NM to Julian and Teofila Mendez.

She married the Love of her Life, Angel F. Campos Jr. in Pecos, Texas on August 16, 1968.

Mary was a beautiful person who always had a smile and time for friends.  She loved spending time with her family, camping, telling stories and crafting or scrapbooking. She worked as a teacher’s assistant, attended Beauty College, worked at the Coca-Cola Bottling Co., and worked as the manager at the Holsum Bakery and Thrift Store until 1987, then worked a few years at Amax Potash all while continuing to share her love for crafting and making gifts for family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Julian and Teofila, her brothers Henry and Juan Mendez and sister Helen Salcido, father-in-law Angel Campos Sr., and brother-in-law Sam Campos Sr.

She is survived by her loving husband Angel; daughter Angela Campos (Eppy Saldaña); son Angel Campos III (Fernie Mendoza); grandchildren Justin Saldana (Lali Vianna), Tiffany-Amber Saldaña, Sumer Saldaña, Tre  Able; great-grandson, Ricky Able; sisters Betty Mendez (Dickie Navarrette), Nellie Sanchez (Andy); brothers Robert Holguin, Sammy Mendez (Yolanda), Julian Mendez Jr. (Delma); aunt Tomasa Fierro; mother-in-law Sabina Campos; sisters-in-law Lolly Thomas (Ward), Amelia Juare (Doydie), Lilly Marquez (Roy); brothers-in-law Ray Campos (Melinda), Abel Campos (Carol), Bobby Campos (Patty), Michael Campos (Ann); and many nieces, nephews, and god-children, whom she loved dearly.

Pallbearers will be Angel Campos Jr, Angel Campos III, Tiffany-Amber Saldaña, Frank Salcido Jr, Julian Mendez Jr, and Sammy Mendez.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tre Able, Steve Mendez, Joe Fierro, and Robert Holguin.
