Hot Summer Nights are coming to Artesia! Hot Summer Nights are a Third Thursday event where small businesses on Main Street stay open past 5 pm and vendors and food trucks set up for a shopping and dining experience that is completely small business driven. Hot Summer Nights is a community event, so come on out to the first Third Thursday Hot Summer Night June 16th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in downtown Artesia!
Several years ago, Mainstreet hosted focus groups of different community members representing a cross section of Artesia. The focus groups had many wonderful ideas for the Mainstreet and Arts and Culture District including the shared desire for more downtown events and gathering opportunities for the community which was the common denominator between all of the diverse groups.
Artesia Mainstreet heard that shared request from the focus groups and devised the upcoming event Hot Summer Nights Third Thursdays in Artesia. Hot Summer Nights is an event designed to boost the local economy and give vendors and patrons more opportunities to interact and get to know local products and services available to Artesians from all walks of life.
Kids and parents can go downtown together and shop and get a bite to eat. The food court will be at the First American Bank parking lot. All of the downtown merchants will be open after 5 pm. Pop up vendor booths will also be a part of the Hot Summer Night experience which will be another opportunity for the community to patronize vendors.
