The weekend following Memorial Day weekend is shaping up to be an exciting one in Carlsbad this 2022! Not one but TWO events will take place along at the Carlsbad Beach Area! Read on for details below about the Just Say Yes! 5K Fun Run and the CAR-A-FAIR Car Show.

Carlsbad LifeHouse will host its first FUNDRAISER of 2022: The Just Say Yes! 5K Fun Run is an opportunity to bring Mental Health and Substance Abuse Awareness to our community! The Carlsbad LifeHouse is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission “to help recovering addicts successfully transition from an intensive rehab program to a healthy, sustainable, sober life.” The LifeHouse “provides a healthy environment, mentoring, and support to help recovering addicts transition to long-term sobriety and independent living,” according to their website.

The Just Say Yes! 5K Fun Run will be part of a full-day event with the 5K Fun Run leading up to the CAR-A-FAIR Car Show and Corn Hole Tournament June 4th! The Fun Run begins at 7am at Carlsbad Beach. CAR-A-Fair set up begins at 10:30 am at the Beach with a DJ, food court, vendors, and swap meet on Saturday. Registration for CAR-A-FAIR begins Friday night June 3 from 6-7 pm with a cruise through town following the sign-up.
