God has made so many wonderful promises in His Word. The Bible is absolutely full of great stories of a God who keeps His promises. Even when His people were horribly irritating to Him(My words. Not His!), He kept His word to them. One of my favorite promises from God, that He has actually made to me personally is that He will always be with me. In all things, He will always be with me. Now, understand that promise is made to you, as well. But, I like to think that God says to me, “Gina, I am not going to leave you. I will always be with you. You can count on that!”

Can you imagine being able to totally and completely count on someone to always be right where you need them to be, right when you need them? Of course not! I have some really good friends and family. I know their desire is to be right where I need them, when I need them, as mine is for them. But, life happens and we can’t always be right there. But, God is different than that. He CAN be there, and He WILL be there. Always. Without fail.

He tells us in His Word to be strong and courageous and not be afraid. I think we all have the tendency to worry and be fearful about the future. I am not much of a scaredy cat. I tend to not be afraid of things, that perhaps I should be a little more cautious of. I am not afraid of the dark. The light scares me much more! When I was actively involved in farming, the future in my farming career scared me to death. Going to the bank absolutely terrified me. Even though I knew that my fear didn’t change things. Even though I knew God was with me, it still just terrified me I would sit in the parking lot of the bank or the FHA office and pray for God to strengthen me and take away my fear. Finally, I would walk in with confidence and hold my head up, even though inside I was still that scared little girl. I knew my Father was with me. That made the difference.

Here is the deal. God knows our future. He knows what is coming our way. He wants to guide us on His path. His path doesn’t necessarily miss all the troubles and trials, but His path has Him on it with us! His path leads to light, always. He knows what scares us. He knows where our weaknesses are. He is ready and prepared to take your hand and take you through whatever storm you are facing. That is His promise. He has never failed one single time. His promises are true. His promises are sure.

If you don’t know this God that promises to be with you, oh my goodness! You have to meet Him today. Give Him your heart. Give Him your life. Give Him the steering wheel of your future. It will make such a difference!
