Patricia “Patty” Bentley

Patricia “Patty” Bentley, 79, of Rosedale Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away March 3, 2022 at her home.  Cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Carlsbad Cemetery Gazebo with John W. Burke officiating.

Patty was born October 1, 1942 in Carlsbad, NM, to John D. and Mildred (Daughity) Burke.  She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1960.  Patty worked as a secretary for many years at the Department of Energy and later at Lakeview Christian Home.  Music was an important part of Patty’s life. She loved singing and had a beautiful voice.  Patty was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John A. Burke.

Survivors are her husband, Glenn Bentley; children: Mark Becker, Michelle Zuel, Darice Frank, Glynn-Ann Gibson and husband, Jason and Ryder Kirkes and wife, Lori; grandchildren: Jordan, Anthony, Patricia, Ashley, Robbie, Danielle, Charles, Jordyn, Caylee, Alexandra, McKenzie and Austin; great-grandchildren: Preston, Brody, Lilly, Kaeden, Eliza and Landon; brother, Ed Burke and wife, Marilyn; sister-in-law, Liz Burke.
