Elaine Wallen

Elaine Wallen, 73, of Alvarado Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away February 27, 2022 at her home.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 19, 2022 at First Assembly of God with Pastor Brad Coates officiating.

Elaine was born February 12, 1949 in Roswell, NM to Robert and Flora (Blanscet) Lee. She graduated from Roswell High School in 1967.  Elaine attended Eastern New Mexico State University.  She worked for Bell Gas Co. a couple of years.  Elaine married Dr. Stephen L. Wallen June 27, 1999 at Cornerstone Fellowship in Artesia, NM.  She loved writing, which included her spiritual faith in Jesus Christ.  Elaine also enjoyed calligraphy and from her father and brother she also shared the fondness of old cars.  She found peace at the ocean and never turned down an opportunity to be at the ocean.  Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Thelma Ayers and brother, Eddie Lee.

Survivors are her husband, Dr. Stephen L. Wallen; sisters: Ella Storms and husband, Stormy, Shay Patterson and husband, Donnie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
