Looking for something to do this weekend in Eddy County? Check out all of the great events happening Friday and Saturday March 4th and 5th 2022. To kick things off there’s a Magic: The Gathering free play happening at the Artesia Public Library from 3 pm to 6 pm. Teens and adults are welcome to join the free play. Beginners are welcome and there are a few beginning decks for newcomers. 

 

Then, from 9 pm to 1 am the Kalum Patterson Band plays at Cal’s Shade Western in Carlsbad. The band will also feature special guest Charlie Ingram. Must be 21+ to enter. 

 

Early morning Saturday March 5th, the Carlsbad Riverblitz sets out to clean along the Pecos River and keep the community sparkling clean and free of litter. Clean up begins at 7 am and goes until 11 am. Meet at the Riverwalk Recreation Center located at 400 Riverwalk Drive. T-shirts, gloves, bags, snacks, water, and hand sanitizer will all be available. 

 

There will also be a Women’s Car Care Clinic held at Carlsbad Chevrolet to teach the basics of car maintenance. The first 25 through the door will receive a free t-shirt and there will be roadside kits given away as well. The clinic is from 9 am to 10 am and breakfast will be served. 

 

In Artesia on Saturday will be the Golf Boosters Golf Tournament to support the Artesia High School Golf Team. The tournament runs from 9:30 am to 6 pm. Looking forward to a beautiful weekend in Eddy County!
