We wanted to encourage everyone to get out and vote in our municipal elections. Artesia has 5 mayoral candidates running as well as 8 candidates running for 4 of the City Council seats up for re-election. If you need information about which district you are in, click here for the map. It’s been a wild race so far and it’s coming to a close. With that said, we would like to remind everyone of some election specifics but can also be found on our website here.
Early Voting is going on now at City Hall (511 W. Texas St.) and will end tomorrow, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 6:00 pm.
Tuesday, March 1, 2022 is election day. Polls will be open from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm at the following convenience locations:
Faith Baptist Church (410 S. 20th Street)
Artesia Senior Center (202 W. Chisum)
You can vote at either of these locations, whichever is convienent for you!
Artesia Chamber of Commerce had an opportunity to host each of the mayoral candidates throughout the month of February in an effort to give an opportunity for Artesians to casually hear what each candidate stands for and have a chance to ask their own burning questions. Our local radio station, KSVP, graciously loaned us a camera to record those casual lunches for those who couldn’t attend.
If you missed them for whatever reason and would like to watch or re-watch any of them, they will be available on KSVPTVsoon! We are so appreciative to them for working diligently to get those posted.
