Obituary

Services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for Gracie Perales of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Perales, 30, died on February 18, 2022 in Artesia.

A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 pm Wednesday at St. Anthony’s Church. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery.

Gracie was born on November 11, 1991 in Artesia; the daughter of Juan Esparza and Irma Reza. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia. She was married to Joel Perales on June 12, 2014 in Artesia.

She was a teller at the Artesia Credit Union. She was a people person and loved to dance, sing and hang out with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband Joel Perales; her mother Irma Reza; children Evaleen Perales, Romeo Perales, and Anthony Perales; brothers Ernesto Esparza, and Victor Reza; and a sister Patricia Esparza.
