Obituary

Services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday, February 10, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Manuel M. Fuentes of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Fuentes, 87, died on February 8, 2022 in Artesia.

Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park.
A rosary is also scheduled for 9:30 am on Thursday. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Fuentes Jr., Arnold Fuentes, Jerry Fuentes, Nick Fuentes, Mike Fuentes, Ismael Fuentes, Victor Fuentes Raymond Fuentes and David Aguirre.

Manuel was born on January 21, 1935 in Marfa, Texas; the son of Manuel Fuentes and Seferina Martinez Fuentes.

He was a hard worker and enjoyed all of the jobs that he had throughout his life. He always had a big garden that he enjoyed spending time in and he loved time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two granddaughters and two grandsons.

Survivors include his wife Clotilde Fuentes; sons Arnold, Jerry, Rudy, Nick and Manuel Fuentes; daughters Ermina Aguirre, Janie Gutierrez, Olga Ortega, Julie Fuentes, Norma Fuentes, Susie Fuentes, and Mary Alvarez; sisters Kathy Maldonado and Dominga Rodriguez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
