Those organizations awarded a grant included: Assistance League of Carlsbad, Boys & Girls Club of Carlsbad, Carlsbad Battered Families Shelter, Carlsbad Community Anti-Drug/Gang Coalition, Carlsbad Community Theater, Carlsbad Lifehouse, Inc., Carlsbad Literacy Program, Carlsbad MainStreet, Cavern City Child Advocacy Center, Desert Willow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Eddy County, Eddy County CASA, Friends of the Carlsbad Public Library, Noah’s Ark Animal Refuge, Inc., Permian Basin Counseling & Guidance, Southeast New Mexico Community Action Corporation, and Southeastern New Mexico Historical Society.
