Residents of Artesia should prepare for the upcoming closure of 20th Street set to begin at the end of the week of January 31st. The city begins a large 4 phase project to update the infrastructure of the city street. 

Updates to 20th Street will take place in four phases says Director of Infrastructure, Byron Landfair. The first phase will begin early February of 2022. The final phase should be in completion by the end of 2023.

Parents and staff of Grand Heights Elementary School and Yeso Elementary should take note of the closures and plan their routes to school and to work accordingly as the access to the buildings will be affected by the closure of 20th Street.
